Reporting to the Country Principal or Geographic Principal, will have as main responsibilities:

- Oversee the delivery of legal services, ensuring that the businesses receive practical, correct and appropriate advice;
- Counsel /advise senior management in Portugal on legal and regulatory issues arising from the companies' operations;
- Maintain a culture of compliance throughout the Portuguese business;
- Ensure that the Portuguese businesses are aware of and adhere to regulatory requirements appropriate to the business;
- To report on Compliance issues and breaches to local and regional management;
- To be responsible for ensuring that any remediation of Compliance issues are effected timeously and correctly by the Portuguese business;
Oversee external relationships with regulators, outside counsel and all internal stakeholders.
O que procuramos
The ideal candidate should have the following profile:

- Legal Degree in a highly prestigious university;
- Legal and regulatory knowledge as applied to the insurance context;
- Influencing Skills- building relationships with regulators, clients, suppliers, colleagues;
- Developed awareness of how to operate successfully in multiple international legal environments;
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills;
- Excellent planning and organizational skills;
- Team player with excellent communication and management skills;
- Written Skills - ability to produce reports, business plans;
- Fluency in Portuguese and English. Spanish will be a plus.
