Will be working in partnership with the current Finance Manager and will be a stepping stone to a Finance Managerial
position within Nalco in 1 to 2 years.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Supervise all financial functions in a subsidiary of the company in Angola. This subsidiary is growing at very high rates.
- Co-responsible for all accounting functions for the company in Angola including proper recording of international transactions with headquarters in the USA and monthly financial reporting to management & shareholders.
- Oversight of the accounting and administrative support team.
- Review and approve journal entries, GL accounts reconciliation, bank accounts reconciliation and booking to physical inventory reconciliation.
- Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate policies and procedures to ensure ade-quate internal controls.
- Cash management, debt payments, payments to shareholders, cash flow projections.
- Manage working capital (particularly receivables collection) accounts to maximise cash flow.
- Completion of local statutory and tax requirements.
- Periodic reconciliation of local statutory accounts with management accounts
in US GAAP.
- Support in the implementation of an ERP System to support management of local information.
- Budget process supervision.
Perfil do candidato:
- Degree educated in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
- Angolan Nationality preferred.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English.
- Several years of experience in Finance or Accounting, affording the expertise and credi-bility to do the job well.
- Must possess strong leadership skills and have a hands-on approach.
Professional experience:
- Manufacturing costing.
- Knowledge of integrated systems (could be SAP, JDE, SCALA, etc.).
- Internal controls or audit experience.
