Ryanair is the Worlds favourite airline with 39 bases and 1000+ low fare routes across 26 countries, connecting 150 destinations. Ryanair operates a fleet of 218 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft with firm orders for a further 104 new aircraft (before taking account of planned disposals), which will be delivered over the next 2.5 years. The successful candidate will be based at Dublin Airport, reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager for Spain & Portugal. We are interested in you if you are looking for a career opportunity where hard work, initiative and enthusiasm are part of the daily routine.
The remit of the successful candidate is as follows:
Maximize sales volumes on Ryanairs Spanish & Portuguese routes/bases
Initiate and deliver a prepared programme of sales, marketing & promotions activities in Spain &
Portugal such that commercial targets for routes are met and exceeded
Maintain and build new relationships with 3rd parties, incl. media, to increase volume on all routes
Hold press conferences and 1-2-1s with the media on a weekly basis
Ensure maximum exposure for Ryanair with a targeted PR & promotions
Devise topical advertisements to run in regional/national media
Action joint advertising campaigns with tourist boards & relevant Government departments
Maximize output of the marketing departments at our Spanish & Portuguese airports
Ability to write press releases, organise and develop high profile PR stunts
To keep abreast of all airline industry developments in Spain & Portugal and to ensure you are
fully up to date with all current issues in the market
Assist your manager where required & action new projects delegated by same
Skills / Experience Required:
1-2 years experience in busy and dynamic marketing environment
Fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese - excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are essential
Confident with an ability to work on own initiative
Ability to work in a pressurized environment and to tight deadlines
Ability to multi task & assist in other European markets when needed
Willingness to travel within the market
Valid EU drivers license
