The Financial Accountant in a corporate accounting role is responsible for an entity / entities, working with the local markets and internal departments to report out to their Corporate Head Quarters.
Roles/Responsibilities
-ÃÂResponsible for monthly financial reporting to US Headquarters
-ÃÂHandle general ledger inquires from other departments, headquarters and the local country
-ÃÂResponsible for annual reporting to Local Statutory Authorities (includes preparing Financial Statements in line with Local GAAP conventions working closely with local Finance Director and Tax)
-ÃÂWork with Internal & external audit for all audit related issues under US and Local GAAP; provide audit information on a timely basis
-ÃÂDevelop effective working relationships with key stakeholders in the local region
-ÃÂPerform Monthly Reconciliations
-ÃÂContribute to team effort and assist co-workers as needed to balance workloads
-ÃÂIdentify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovate solutions so the team can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner
-ÃÂParticipate in projects that require creativity and analytical skills
Skills/Experience:
ÃÂÂÃÂ2-3 years of related accounting experience required
ÃÂÂFluency in Portuguese is a must for this role
ÃÂÂÃÂOracle experience desirable
ÃÂÂÃÂExperience in a multinational environment desirable though not essential
ÃÂÂÃÂProficiency in PC skills (inc. Word and Excel)
ÃÂÂÃÂKnowledge of US-GAAP and Statutory Accounting

Education / Professional Qualifications
ÃÂÂÃÂUniversity Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
ÃÂÂÃÂQualified or part-qualified accountant desirable.ÃÂ
ÃÂÂÃÂStrong accounting, interpersonal, analytical thinking, and organisational skills
ÃÂÂÃÂAbility to work independently, to work under pressure and to handle several projects at once
