Our client a very successful multinational company is now recruiting for a Technical Support with Portuguese.
Knowledge:
Solid foundation of practical computer knowledge--including core components (both hardware and software) and advanced troubleshooting techniques associated with general computer usage (Mac and Windows).
Solid understanding of LAN/WAN protocols and topologies. For example: TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc.
In-depth understanding of networking concepts--including switching and routing. Also the OSI model –i.e. what equipment and protocols are tied to which layers.
Basic comprehension of routing and routed protocols, such as RIP, BGP, OSPF, IP, IPX, AppleTalk, etc.
Intermediate comprehension of network security concepts such as NAT, VPN, IP Sec., and Firewalls.
Basic understanding of internetworking hardware such as switches, routers, VPN devices, Internet Access Devices, Remote Access Devices, etc.
Intermediate understanding of troubleshooting tools such as FTP, Telnet, TFTP, Hyperterminal*, Sniffers, etc.
Basic understanding of Network Administration, including users, permissions, Client/Server networks, login authentication, SNMP, Network Admin. Software, etc.
Basic ability to analyze and understand Error Logs, Configuration files, network maps, MIB's, Packet captures event logs, etc.
Familiarity with Exchange, Active Directory, VSS and SQL is a plus.
Education
Certification: A+, Network+, Security+, MCP, Apple Hardware Technician (or equivalent experience).
Required to pass the DTAC TSR I exam with a score of 80% or better.
Skills:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing professional office environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Advanced communication skills using phones, email, and chat (IM).
Advanced troubleshooting skills--for instance, analytical thinking, problem definition, ability to eliminate variables, and identify effective solutions.
Ability to provide detailed case notes according to internal procedures and standards of quality,
Attitude of coachability and proficiency for learning and applying new concepts quickly.
Driven and responsible, requiring a minimal amount of supervision.
Spelling/grammar and typing proficiency test required.
Fluency in one or more of the following languages is required: Portuguese.
